Synopsis:

At the end of the 19th century, in a Madrid undergoing profound social and urban transformation, the lives of several women from different social classes tragically intertwine in a city marked by inequality, hypocrisy, and moral decay. Teresa and Candela, two sisters from the countryside, arrive in the capital seeking a better life, but soon confront the harsh reality of a city that devours young women without resources. Meanwhile, María Ana Allsopp, a young Mexican aristocrat living in Madrid, experiences a profound awakening of conscience upon witnessing the suffering of marginalized women.
