Synopsis:

Spain 1954. Fed up with the ineffectiveness of the Franco regime of which he is a part, a Jesuit writer with an adventurous character retires to a shantytown where he is evangelized by its inhabitants, becoming a militant of the communist party and a tireless fighter for democracy.
