Culture and Video games: European policy conference on video games and virtual environments

The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Spain organises CULTURE AND VIDEO GAMES, a European professional conference focused on the video game sector, that will take place on July 12th and 13th, 2023 in the city of Santa Cruz of Tenerife.

On the occasion of the Spanish presidency of the EU, a professional meeting focused on the videogame sector has been organized. It’s aimed at industry professionals, developers, distributors and institutional personnel linked to the sector.

During this event, the main results of the project Understanding the Value of a European Games Society will be published; this project was initiated by the European Parliament and it was launched by the European Commission in January 2022.

The dynamics of the meeting will consist of several round tables to address topics such as the cultural value of the European video game industry, the training and talent attraction or the challenges of the new virtual worlds, among others.
